This evening is my last at Kingfisher. Tomorrow M&A want to go to Ubon R., the largest city in Thailand nearby, for some shoppin' 'n' sushi. From there, I'll grab the night train back to BKK to arrive Sat early morning.
The moon was rising as we were meeting with a Lao employee of the WWF on an education project; and we saw a heron swoop by. The light then became a warm hazy yellow over the marsh, and I realized this would be my last evening here. I will be back here in a week, but as a tourist.
Sunsets over land are always prettier, I think, than over water, where I've tended to see them since living on the coast. No exception here.
